High levels of slippage were quite disconcerting. Due to this, trades were frequently executed at prices far away from my intended ones, thereby leading to unexpected and unwanted losses. To add to the complications, the large spreads offered by MC significantly limited my potential profits, especially on short-term trades. For finance geeks, MC's spreads were often between 3-4 pips for major pairs, a number considerably higher than the industry average. The account-opening process was another story. It was overly complex and time-consuming, making it difficult for me to kickstart my trading. Additionally, the limited portfolio of trading instruments available was quite restrictive for my trading goals.
